For years, Jade C. Jamison tried really hard to write what she thought was more "literary" fiction, but she found herself compelled to write what you read by her today--sometimes gritty, raw, realistic stories and other times humorous, light tales--but most of the stories she writes revolve around relationships and characters finding their way through life. While she doesn't confine herself to just one genre, nor is there a nice neat label for what she writes, most of her work could be called erotic romance. Her main writing passions include rock star romance, romantic comedy, and romantic suspense.

She lives in Colorado with her husband and four children.

Jordan and Ty are finally together, as in living together—mortgage and all. Now they intend to enjoy a little down time. They’ve purchased an aging horse ranch with plans to renovate, but their domestic bliss is put on hold when Ty is called in to investigate a murder case.

Coincidentally, an unusually graphic nightmare about a young college student’s murder catches Jordan by surprise. In the dream, Jordan can see the girl’s pretty blonde hair. She can see the snowy ravine the girl was strangled in. Most shockingly, this time she can even see the killers face.

Being at home and still on vacation is making it challenging to figure out how to connect with this latest victim, until Jordan visits Ty’s precinct and recognizes a young man in interrogation as the murderer.

When Ty insists the suspect is innocent, Jordan debates just how far into Ty’s career she can interfere. Influencing another cop’s investigation on the basis of a dream is a line she’s never dared to cross. Even if the other cop is the man she loves.

Making the situation all the more frustrating is the sexy, red-headed Isobel Riley from Missouri Highway Patrol who is partnering with Ty for the duration of the case. And Isobel is a lot more than a mere detective consultant—she’s Ty’s ex-lover.

“I’m going to ask you this one time and one time only. You better tell me the truth. Did you see David Benson kill Hailey King in a dream?”
She swallowed. Hard. Then nodded. “Yes. But I didn’t know it was your case at first.”
“But you figured it out.” He took a step back as the truth apparently started to fall into place for him. “And you figured it out Sunday when you saw David Benson in my office, didn’t you?”
She nodded again.
“Three days you’ve known, and you haven’t said a thing. How the hell could you do that?”
“Because . . .” She was unsure of the best way to defend her choice. “Because I’ve never let my dreams influence another cop’s decisions. Especially decisions as important as arresting a suspect for murder. What if I’m wrong?”
“I am not just another cop to you.” He was quiet, and motionless, for a long, miserable moment. Then he walked to the dresser, grabbed some clothes, and turned back toward her. “Or maybe I am. I guess I don’t really know what the hell I am to you. You sure as shit don’t seem to have a very high opinion of me.”
“That is not true.”
He came at her like a muscled wall of fury. “Isn’t it? I’ve tried to show you a hundred different ways that I understand your dreams. Still, you hide everything. Everything. Even vital information in a murder case.” He slapped a hand against his chest. “My murder case.”
“I’m sorry. I just wanted . . .” What? She didn’t have a good enough answer to justify lying to him. “To be normal, I guess.”
“Normal? What the fuck does that mean? I got news for you, babe: there isn’t one goddamned thing normal about either of us. My sister being murdered isn’t normal. Your family being murdered isn’t normal. Normal people don’t dream about the dead, and you know what, I don’t give a shit about normal. But I won’t be lied to.”
“I wasn’t trying to lie. I’m just afraid the dreams are going to drive a wedge between us.”
He let out a foul laugh. “Really? You think it’s the dreams driving a wedge between us?” He stepped closer and pinned her with a vicious look. “From the moment you helped me solve Tara’s murder, I have never been anything but fascinated by your dreams. I know they exist. I believe in them and I believe in you.”
He backed up, putting several feet between them. “See, the problem here is not me believing in you, it’s you believing in me. The fact that you don’t have enough faith in me to share an important truth about a case I’m working on says quite a bit, don’t you think? Then there’s the fact you seem to think I’m stupid enough to fall back into bed with Isobel just because she’s working in the same building. So don’t use the dreams as an excuse. They aren’t what’s driving a wedge between us. I’d say you’re doing a bang-up job of that all on your own.”

Cage's Misconduct

Dalton ‘Cage’ Booker is the number one goalie for the San Diego Scorpions. Most people describe him as willful and stubborn—sometimes even difficult to control. More often than not, words fly out of his mouth without the benefit of passing through his brain first. And women love him.

Karen LaGrange, little sister of the former enforcer for the Scorpions, lives in Canada, where she works with special needs children. After losing her job to downsizing, she makes an extended visit to San Diego, forming a friendship with the errant goalie.

Through frequent reminders that they are friends without benefits, Karen struggles to keep their relationship platonic, but the more she shuts him down, the more he wants her.

Can Cage convince Karen to slip under the sheets with him, or is he destined to be firmly entrapped in the friend zone?

5 Stars Loved this book! ~Amazon Customer

Will Karen give in to Cage? Will Jody finally relent and accept Cage's interest in his sister? I really enjoyed this book, and look forward to reading more from this author.

This is book three in the Scorpion series and I have to say, it is now my favorite! When I first met Cage, I didn't like him at all. What I love about this author is how she writes people how we see them in real life ~ Mary

I love this series and I think this is her best book of their series so far!

5 Stars  Fantastic read
Loved this book, so hard not to fall in love with Dalton "Cage" Booker and Karen together. The love between them, it's not your typical storyline. And I honestly couldn't put it down once I started. Absolutely loved it and highly recommend this read. ~ Jackie Ugal

I am a country girl at heart who tends to like the simple things...and hockey. Give me a hockey game and I'm set! During intermission, I read. Reading has always been a love of mine since I was a little girl. The books have gotten a bit spicier though. I also like moonlit walks on the beach, strawberries and champagne (ok, dirty martinis actually), and a strong man to hold me...etc., etc., etc. ;)

I live in Hammonton, NJ with my husband of over 18 years. It's not always easy but it's always worth it.

I have a B.S.B.A. in Human Resources and work for a law firm in Philadelphia. The only thing left to say is....GO FLYERS!

What would you do if a five hundred year old witch wanted to turn your body into her new home?

Morcant and Blake Korrigan own a little shop of horrors, where witches congregate and people ending up dead isn’t rare. When Karen Hiltzman joins their coven, she has no idea what she’s getting into. Drawn in, the group convinces her to recruit her best friend, Sarah Matthews, after discovering that she bears a very special birthmark; one that indicates she’s the girl they’ve been waiting for.

Eager to reincarnate a witch put to death by an angry mob five hundred years prior, Morcant unleashes a spell; a dark and sinister curse. His ritual transforms Sarah’s body and will bring the dreaded Brenna back to life when it’s completed. Blake wants to stop him; but will he be strong enough to defeat his elder sibling, and if he does… will he be able to let her go when it’s done?

Filling the kettle and placing it on the stove, Karen recalled the meeting with the group, when their plans had been placed into motion. She had mentioned Sarah’s birthmark to Ninia before, pointing out how it looked so much like a swirling spirituality symbol. However, it wasn’t until Genevieve had gotten wind of the oddity that any real interest had stirred within the crowd, and they had asked her to bring Sarah in to meet them.

“You aren’t going to hurt her, are you?” Karen had asked hesitantly.

“Of course not!” Genevieve had soothed. “We want to set her free!” The young woman’s lips had parted into a small grin as she spoke, exposing her straight white teeth.

Karen stared at her pan with large brown orbs, her mind trapped in that moment. “It won’t be easy,” she had replied, “She hasn’t believed in any of this stuff in years.” She shuddered and adjusted the fire before her.

“That’s ok,” Morcant had cut in, stepping up to her and allowing his fingers to trace her jaw. “We’ll convince her; no need to worry about that.” Leaning closer, his mouth had covered hers in a soft kiss.

Drawn to the older man, Karen had felt as if his spirit mingled with hers. Deepening the kiss, she had moaned and pressed her body against him for a long moment before he pulled away.

“See?” his nose nuzzled her cheek, “This is a warm and safe place…” he had paused, extracting himself from her grasp, “Bring your friend; allow her to experience the feel of the coven and to be wrapped in its power.”

The sound of the boiling water drew her back to the present, and Karen cut off the flame. She poured the hot liquid into her waiting cup, adding a few cubes of sugar before she took a seat at the kitchen table and stared out the tiny window that overlooked a small grassy patch behind the house; 'you shouldn’t let him do that to you.'

Several times over the last year, she had been in such a situation with the group; a point where she felt trepidation and fear at what lay before her. Each time, it had been Morcant who had spurred her onward. 'His touch is intoxicating,' she admitted quietly to herself. 'His fingers caress with the feel of magic,' and the kiss had put her over the edge.

'Of course it’s magic;' her mood shifted to angry, 'they’re witches, after all!' But this had gotten out of hand. At some point, it had become too real, and she no longer wanted to be a part of it. However, she could not escape. It felt as if Morcant had her in his grasp, under some dark spell, and she would do his bidding.

Taking another tentative sip, she cut her eyes up at the ceiling above her, as if she could see her friend in her tiny room on the third floor. 'I wonder what they really want with her.' She hadn’t dared to ask, and had done her best to convince Sarah to attend a meeting with her of her own free will. In the end, the girl had refused, and put them on their current path; 'they’re going to have her, willing or not.'

It had taken all Karen’s strength to complete her task today, and remember not to touch the shiny medallion that Morcant had presented to her. He had cursed it somehow, and she had noticed that he took great care when he placed it in the bag for Sarah. 'A powerful amulet, he said.'

Dragging her gaze back to the glass and the sunshine beyond, she tried not to think about what would happen next.

Weird Facts About Witches:

Names like “Cat’s Paw” or “Maiden Hair” often written as ingredients of spells or potions are code words used in place of plants. It was a common practice among farming people to disguise the names of herbs and other such plants so that others wouldn’t know what their different recipes and potions actually contained. Some are actually the proper names for certain herbs. There really are plants called “Serpent’s Tongue”, “Bird’s Foot”, and “Mouse’s Ear.”

Anyone who knows me could tell you, I am a friendly kind of person, never met a stranger and take up conversations any where at any time. I work hard, and my mind never seems to shut down, as I wake up often in the middle of the night with ideas pouring out and demanding to be dealt with. Of course that means much of my books were written in the middle of the night.

I grew up and still live in the great state of Texas where everything is bigger, where we have warm weather and a central location. I love my state, my town, and my family, which includes my four sons, my significant other, and many friends as well.

I have thoroughly enjoyed writing the books that are currently available and hope you will enjoy reading them just as much. And of course, there will be many more stories to come.

Review: 3.5 Stars

In general, I like dark romance. I like broken characters that are self destructive and brutally honest with others. But it was hard for me to like Honor or Kip. She is on the run from an abusive ex and mob leader father and she's works as a stripper/prostitute to keep her little sister safely hidden away. So far, so good.

Then Kip comes along and falls for her. But his way of showing interest is to rape her over and over again...while she doesn't say anything because 'she's too weak to fight back.'

The book is well written and if you're okay with non/dub con, then you might really enjoy this book. It's certainly hot during the good scenes. But for me, the "what the hell is wrong with you" scenes just come a little too frequently.

My only other beef is with the narrator. The book is first person so the narrator voice shouldn't necessarily change when Honor is speaking but she does this creepy "little girl" voice that just grossed me out during some of those pseudo-rape scenes. About half-way through the audio book, I had to stop listening.

That said, I look forward to trying a different book by Skye Warren to see if this weak heroine thing is a fluke or a pattern.
